The features are various high-speed, high temperature, low temperature, anti-corrosion, Antimagnetic, low-friction bearings, as well as other bearings with special purposes.

They have two integral flanges on the inner ring and one integral flange on the outer ring and can thus axially locate the shaft in one direction.

A retaining ring at the flangeless side of the outer ring holds the bearing together.

The axial internal clearance in the bearing is given in the bearing tables and is designed to permit small axial displacements of the shaft in relation to the housing, e.g. as a result of thermal expansion, to be accommodated within the bearing.
